Head, Internal Audit & Compliance

Timothy Owolabi is the Head of Internal Audit & Compliance at Matrix Energy Exploration & Production Company Limited, providing oversight of the Company’s internal control, risk management, governance and compliance framework across its upstream operations.

He brings over 16 years of experience spanning oil and gas, banking and pharmaceuticals, with expertise in internal audit, risk management, compliance and financial controls. He has held leadership roles across Matrix Energy Group’s Haulage and Downstream operations before transitioning to the Upstream business in September 2026.

Timothy holds a B.Sc. in Accounting from the University of Ilorin and is a Fellow of ICAN and CIBN, an Associate of CITN, and a Member of the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA).
